Great diaper system Nov 22, 2011
By autumn I have the grovia shells with both snaps and velcro, and at first I preferred the velcro. It was a little more obvious how to fit the diaper on my daughter with the velcro. The snaps are nice as you don't have to tuck the tabs in on a messy diaper before tossing it in the laundry bin. I've been cloth diapering exclusively for 10 weeks now and we have had one leak, and that was parent/user error.
Perfect Product!!! Apr 19, 2012
By Wren We love these diapers!!!! Definitely worth the cost! No leaks, no fuss, no mess. They do take a long time to dry though and they are bulky on baby so some clothes may not fit over them well. My baby seems to be very comfortable in them also. When I told her daycare provided she used cloth, she got this "scared deer in headlight panic stare" but after the first day she told me they were the best diaper she had ever used, cloth and disposable!
Sticking with GroVia Apr 06, 2012
By L. Clark GroVia single shells are fantastic. Easy to use, great/adjustable fit, easy to clean - I can't say enough good things about them. (I prefer the snaps to the velcro, but only by a smidgen.)
Basically the system is that you use this shell with a snap-in insert (and a booster, for overnights, long naps, or heavy wetters). So you don't have to carry around multiple diapers, because that can get bulky - our diaper bag just has a few inserts and one full backup (because you never know...). You can pick and choose which type of insert or booster, as GroVia carries different kinds (regular vs stay-dry for each). We rotate, using the stay-dry at night with a booster, and the regular during the day. The inserts snap in two places (one in front and one in back), so they're so easy to use and they stay in place...plus, you don't have to touch anything you don't want to (like with a pocket diaper).
Having tried a few different types of cloth through a sampler pack to start, GroVia has been our number one choice since the beginning. I've found their products to be top-notch and we plan to stick with them as long as our kids are in diapers.
Good not great Sep 22, 2011
By Alex Rodriguez the shell is ok, made from TPU so it can't dry in dryer, the snaps seem to be high quality.
