Good disposable option for travel Aug 06, 2011
By Katie B. The first time I used these, I sort of hated them (super leaky!) but I love Grovia so much that I decided to give it another go. Here's what I learned (mostly from reading their Facebook page and then trying it out):
-These inserts are not as bulky as cloth inserts so you will likely need to snap your Grovia cover down to the next smallest size. This solved my issue with the leaks.
-I have read some reviews complaining about the adhesive. The adhesive did leave a residue on my covers. However, it was gone after washing so not much of an issue. Also, I have found that these are just as easy to use without the adhesive. Just lay the BioSoaker flat in the cover and go. I have a mobile baby and moving and bunching has not been an issue.
-When you use the BioSoaker, you just want to spread it out completely and lay it on the cover. Once the diaper is on your baby, don't worry about tucking the excess into the cover. When I use mine, the BioSoaker sticks out around my son's legs and at the back. This may be helpful for anyone concerned about the BioSoaker bunching or moving.
I have found Grovia to be a great company to work with if you are having trouble with their products. Their Facebook page is full of information - including tips on using the BioSoakers.

great for our vacation Nov 10, 2011
By Lauren

We flew across the country, drove quite a bit and then hiked all vacation (crazy right with a 4month old). We are cloth diapering and I just couldn't think of buying regular disposable diapers. We had been using prefolds with Thirsties duowrap snap covers or OS pockets. I had read that you could put Grovia inserts in other covers so I thought I'd try it. They worked great. I didn't take the sticky tabs off of the inserts because I didn't want them to get stuck on my covers. I just laid the inserts in (like maxi-pads) and snapped the cover on. We didn't have any leaks or blow-outs. The inserts packed really small and I love how you can flush the inside down the toliet (although kind of messy tearing that out). I felt better throwing these in the trash knowing that they're compostable & will degrade faster than regular disposable diapers.
Bottom line- yes I would buy these again and would recommend them. And yes you can use them with other covers other than Grovia ones.

No leaks! Apr 08, 2011
By R. Baker I use these with my 4-month old twin boys when we're on the go and we haven't had a leak yet (knock on wood). I didn't believe they'd stay in place, but they do. Then again, 4-month olds aren't running around, but mine roll and scoot plenty. Love these!

Great addition to our cloth! May 10, 2012
By Ash B.
"Mum to Niko"
I've been using these liners when leaving the house for long periods and if my son gets a rash and I want to use rash cream. It's super convenient not having to lug around a wet bag and they take up much less space in the diaper bag than regular sposies.
I've used these with several covers: Bummis Super Brite Diaper Cover, Blueberry Dot, Newborn, Thirsties Duo Wrap Snap, Hoot, Size One (6-18 lbs), Weehuggers Diaper Cover Snaps (2 [15-35 lbs], chocolate sky), GroVia Hook and Loop Diaper Shell System, Vanilla, and Thirsties Diaper Cover, Aqua, X-Small (6-12 lbs). My son is 7 weeks old and we haven't had a leak yet when using these in any of those covers.
These are also extremely trim and a great alternative to some of my bulkier diapers when I want to get him in a cute outfit.

Very Absorbant, Much More than GDiapers Inserts Apr 27, 2012
By L. Moore My baby is 10 weeks old and in cloth diapers. We sometimes need to go "Hybrid" and use the disposable soakers. GDiapers can't absorb at all and are very wet to the touch. Biosoakers are often very dry and can easily hold a few pees at least. They also have the TPU backing so that your cover doesn't get wet, much like their cloth soakers - that translates into covers staying dry and needing fewer covers. These are expensive, but if you need them to travel, for daycare or whatever, it is worth it. They do not cause rashes on my very sensitive baby, which is a huge plus. They use wood pulp and a small amount of SAP (same as GDiapers) but are of significantly better quality.
They also have built in gussets to contain messes - its the best of disposables and cloth diapers in one.
