My 1.5 yr. old daughter has just begun feeding herself, and after searching for forks that actually work, are BPA free, and won't hurt her if she jabs herself in the mouth or face, I can happily say that I've found the best toddler spoon/fork set! She can grip the chunky handles steadily and use the utensils better than any I've seen her try so far, and I don't have to worry about safety. Even the spoon is well designed: she actually gets a mouthful of food on it and eats effectively. (I'm surprised to read the about the other reviewer's problems...other spoons were too small, or too deep, this is just right!) The look of accomplishment on her face is so rewarding!

Those safety tines on the fork make it impossible for my toddler to use. They are blunt and protrude well past the normal tines, so it's crazy trying to get any food to stick. Even I have awful trouble getting it to work. How frustrating! Otherwise, the grippy handles are great. The utensils are sturdy and well-made. Too bad the fork is such a pain. I am now looking for a different one.
