This product contains petrolatum and parabens! Don't be fooled by the name "natural" Dec 10, 2011

Ok...so you want a product that is going to help your growing baby, not harm it right?? Please be warned the first ingredient in this product is petrolatum which is a by product of petroleum. Could seem harmless as we all grew up using vasoline for something around our house, but take a closer look and you will find this is not as harmless as it appears. Petrolatum can have side effects like breast tumors, suffocation of the skin, premature aging and aggravated acne. This also contains 3 different parabens which are currently caught up in a controversy that they can be associated with carcinogenic and weaken estrogenic activity that could lead to tumors and even cancer. There are other products out there like Babyganics or Wedela that do not contain these products and are safe for your little one. Please do your own research to understand and make up your own mind regarding this product.

Aaaaaaaaaalmost perfect Sep 05, 2008
By Alexis Coxon Our son, who's almost 1 1/2, has patches of eczema on his cheeks and the backs of his knees. We tried a hydrocortisone cream, as his doctor suggested -- it worked (temporarily) on his legs but not at all on his face.
I grabbed this cream on a whim while at the store one day. It works like magic! After just a couple of days, my little guy's cheeks and legs were totally soft and not red or irritated-looking at all. They stay that way, too, as long as we remember to put the cream on every day.
The only reason I'm not giving this five stars is because it does contain parabens, which I like to avoid in the products I use on my son.

Actually Works! Jan 04, 2008
By J. Bremer I was a little skeptical about buying yet another lotion for my son's infant eczema. He has really dry skin and it breaks out in patches of eczema that can get pretty bad. We tried Vaseline (on the recommendation of my doctor), hydrocortisone cream on the really bad spots, and Aveeno baby lotion. None of them worked as well as this lotion. I apply it within minutes of getting him out of the bathtub and it is amazing...his skin is no longer breaking out and is getting back to baby soft. I can see the difference within an hour of applying it.
The only downside is the price, especially because you have to apply it fairly liberally. Four ounces does not last long for us, but I'll still be buying it because it is the only thing that works so far!

FINALLY Jan 05, 2011
By AmazonBuyer We have tried EVERYTHING available on the market...I am a pharmacist and have seen creams come and go...new ones, old ones, I have used them ALL. My little one has had eczema on his face, legs, hands for what seems like forever. Some creams make the condition a bit better to where it is tolerable, but never really made it go away completely...UNTIL NOW.....3 days of use with "Gentle Naturals" and the eczema is barely, barely visible....I believe in a week it will be entirely gone. His skin looks like it should, fresh supple and baby like (my beautiful little boy). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GIVING THIS CREAM A TRY, its inexpensive, a little goes a long way, its made of NATURAL products and the results are amazing!!!

Finally something that works! May 14, 2011
By texmom7 This was the first thing I tried for our baby's eczema and it worked quickly. I ran out and decided to try other things. None of them worked. I tried coconut oil, expensive essential oils from Young Living, Burt's Bee, California Baby, etc., etc.,. I went back to Gentle Naturals and was AMAZED at how quickly it worked. All the ingredients may not be "natural", BUT I tried the totally natural stuff and they didn't work. The price is very reasonable and a lot cheaper than all the alternatives I tried. Give your baby a long soak in the tub and then apply the cream.
