Hands-Down the Most Comfortable Way to Carry Baby! Feb 25, 2010
By H. Gerety
"chickadeescout"
When baby was first born, we used slings and a vintage Snugli to tote her around. Those were okay, but as baby got heavier and more mobile -- around five months -- I realized I needed something better. I'm a stay-at-home mom, and before baby was old enough to sit up and play with some toys on the floor, I needed to be able to carry her on my back while I cooked dinner, or on my front while walking around town doing errands.
I might not have purchased the Ergo simply for the expense (we try to be very frugal) if a friend hadn't loaned me hers to try out. After two days of using the Ergo, I was hooked. Baby didn't cry the way she sometimes did in the Snugli (not to put it down, though -- that may have been user-error), and it was so much easier on my back; I didn't get the shoulder-blade pain like I used to with other carriers.
I went out and bought one for myself, and did so immediately, largely because I was about to take a cross-country flight with baby, alone; the Ergo proved indispensable then, as it has since!
Baby is now nine months old, and around twenty pounds, and I still experience no back strain when carrying her around in the Ergo. I use it so much, that I've started to carry my wallet in the front pouch!

Versatile carrier Apr 09, 2010
By A. Rutherford I was looking for a carrier for my 1 year old-this was perfect! It's designed to hold more weight than most baby carriers out there and it does the job well-it's very comfortable. I love the front pockets and the sleeping hood. It's a little tough to get on, compared to a sling at least but it's not too bad. I manage to get my daughter in and buckle it on my own. It's great to keep on hand for when you don't have a stroller and don't feel like carrying a heavy toddler around.

Awesome! Highly recommend!!! Apr 05, 2010
By Julie My son is 7 months old now (17 pounds)... and my Bjorn is just too hard on my back... my sister recommended the Ergo... and I'm SO glad I got this one! First of all, love the blue and green and the embroidery! But what I love the most is how much easier it is to carry him around everywhere!!! And I can nurse him whenever I want with the little sleep hood. I LOVE this product and highly recommend it!!!
got a big dog? Jul 17, 2011
By liamgoldensmom I had a newborn and a 70 pound pitbull that I had to take out several timees a day while living on thirs floor of apartment w no elevator. the ergo saved me life! I could walk the dog w ease, be hands free and nurse my son and no one could see. My son is almost two and half now and I still have my ergo because it really gave me so much freedom And I have cherished memories with it!!!
Perfect baby carrier Mar 20, 2011
By Rena M Beardsworth I have lower back troubles because my job requires a lot of lifting. This carrier does not aggravate my lower back at all. Baby loves it (18 months old) She carries it over to me when she wants to piggy back. This way we can do laundry together... and dishes... and vacuum, etc... Putting baby on the back takes some getting used to and also a second person to "spot" until it becomes easy.
