Over the course of my eight month old baby's life I have used and enjoyed many carriers. This carrier is wonderful because it is well made, convenient, very adjustable and comfortable. I also love the pretty pattern!
It is well made for baby wearing. It puts little pressure on your back or shoulders and distributes the weight of the baby very well. My baby is 17 pounds but one of the two friends who recommended it to me has a three year old it still works well for. It is comfortable enough to wear hiking (on appropriate trails,)or for a long trip to the mall. It is easy to get on and off after some practice. I even enjoy using it for quick trips into the post office or grocery store.
The carrier is also convenient. There are two pockets which I use frequently to carry a big "mom" wallet, keys and cell phone to go shopping. There would still be a little room for something else but I keep a diaper bag in the car with everything else we would need. The shade is lovely to snap over his head when he falls asleep or to help shade him from the sun on an outdoor walk. It is also possible to nurse while he is in the carrier with the cover over his head without exposing myself. The ergo line also makes teething pads available which are a very good idea for preserving the life of the shoulder straps. Those new teeth are sharp! As for fit, I am not tiny even though I am short and this fits well.(Being short and wide with a large chest can be quite an issue with some carriers.) The same carrier works for my husband who is just about an average height and weight. The carrier does not work for my mom who is wider than I am but, does work for her with the extender which I also purchased on Amazon.Ergo Waist Extension We all find this carrier extremely comfortable!
The green color with the river rocks is very pretty but still acceptable to carry a boy and, my husband does not look silly wearing it.

You can seriously carry your baby in this carrier for hours and neither of you will be uncomfortable! I was carrying my 9 lb. baby in this just a week after my c-section with no pain whatsoever. It is more expensive than a baby bjorn or other carrier but you will not regret spending the extra money. The only drawback I can think of (and its minimal) is that with the infant insert on a hot day you can get really sweaty where your baby is lying on you. I would imagine this would be the same in any carrier though. Just prepare to have a little sweat spot on your chest when you take the carrier off on a super hot day!
