Great price here at Amazon! Feb 16, 2008
By amazon shopper I've used this product for a year - and when I saw that the price was raised (in the retail store where I buy) from $46.00 to $70.00 !! I was apalled. So thank you Amazon! Also, for those who say it's too liquidy...I think you need to get the smaller bottle that dispenses it as a foam - and then use this big bottle for refill only. It works great when dispensed as foam.

Earth Mama vs Lafes Nov 20, 2011
By DM We bought Earth Mama Baby Shampoo and Lafes Organic Baby Shampoo after learning about the Johnson & Johnson fiasco. Up to that point, we were using Aveeno, a J&J brand that had the harmful chemicals in it. J&J committed to remove these chemicals in the next 2 years, but that's not good enough.
Earth Mama:
- makes good foam and is certified organic.
- has a rating of 0 on Skin Deep Database (0-2 rating means no harmful chemicals)
- fragrance is medium-strong (citrus).
- not tear-free.
Lafes:
- makes better foam than Earth Mama's shampoo.
- it's not certified organic, but still has a rating of 0 on Skin Deep Database.
- almost fragrance free
- tear-free formula.
Baby seems to like both. We use Lafes on her hair and Earth Mama on her body, but in the future we will stay with Lafes.

Smells good, leaves no residue Dec 23, 2008
By pailittles I first got this as a gift, and I liked it so much that I've continued to use it. It doesn't leave a filmy residue on my daughter's skin and it smells good (like a citrus fruit!). The only downside is that it is NOT a "no-tears" formula which means that there is no anesthetizing ingredient in it. I have to be extra careful when I'm rinsing her hair so that the water doesn't run down her face and into her eyes. I also do not use it on her cheeks and forehead... for that I use the original Jergens bar soap which is about as mild as you can get as far as soaps go.
Also, just a comment... the body wash was delivered to my house on a cold day, and it had turned a muddy opaque color. At first I thought it was defective, but after letting it return to room temperature, it went back to normal.

Excellent Product - Earth Mama Angel Baby Shampoo & Body Wash Aug 28, 2007
By Connie B I've tried all different kinds of organic products on my daughter because of her skin condition and this is the only product I can use on her without her breaking out in a rash or developing dry skin. It's an EXCELLENT product. Kuddos to Earth Mama Angels!

Ok but still searching for that perfect all natural baby shampoo & soap Mar 13, 2011
By Opinionated & Honest Found this on ewg.org's website as we were looking for a baby shampoo/soap that had zero toxins in it. Check out ewg.org. You can do a search for any product (for babies, lotions, shampoos, even make-up) and it will list the ingredients and rate it based on toxicity. This product was rated zero. Most commercial products seem to rate between 6-10 (think Johnson & Johnson's, Neutrogena, Aveeno, etc.)
I got this because the product's web page stated it would have a vanilla and orange scent. It smells 100% like oranges to my husband and I. No vanilla scent. It just doesn't give that "fresh baby scent" that I was looking for (which is probably made from synthetic materials anyways). However, it does smell more pleasant than any of the other natural products that I've looked at out there (California Baby, Burt's Bee, everything that Whole Foods sells, etc."
There are two main downfalls to this product IMO: because it foams, I feel like I have to use 2-3 pumps of the product vs. just 1 pump. The amount doesn't seem like a lot. And it doesn't seem to get rid of my Burt's Bee diaper cream residue (although I'm not sure if that's the cream's fault or this soap's fault).
I'll keep using it until I find something else.
