Best Butt Cream on the Market (esp. for cloth diapers) Sep 27, 2011
By Dawn Klitz First off I will say that I use cloth diapers so my options for diaper cream is limited. When she was younger (under 1 year) I didn't know any better so I was using Desitin. Her rashes never went away and I ruined my diapers. I started smelling an odd fishlike smell even when they were clean and they stopping wicking the urine. It took a very long process of stripping my diapers (more than once) to get that out. Eventually, after reading up on it, I realized I had to use a cloth diaper safe cream and Angel Baby Bottom had the best reviews everywhere. Also, my local cloth diaper store recommended it. So far, it has worked the best for me. So well in fact, that my daycare has recommended it to all the moms and many moms have switched with success! My baby's bottom is super sensitive where she will wake up with a poopy diaper and immediately have a rash, every time. This stuff clears it up in one day instantly, always. I love it! It's like a miracle cream. Also it smells natural and clean. I will say that if her rash seems to start getting pretty bad, I will combine Triple Paste with Angle Baby Bottom in her nighttime diaper and in the morning, it's always gone. At night I put her in a disposable so I have no worries using Triple Paste at night. If I used disposbles, Triple Paste is one cream I would also recommend. I should mention, one time her diaper rash got so bad and nothing was working. I knew something else was wrong. I took her to the doctor and sure enough, she had a yeast rash, which is very common and will not go away when treated with any normal diaper creams. You can also use Angel Baby Bottom cream for any minor cuts or scrapes. They will heal right up!

Love it! May 08, 2011
By MegHeartsCake This stuff is great - it worked wonders on the new-food rash my son got after we started introducing solid foods. We also cloth diaper, and it is one of the few creams safe for cloth, we've had no problems with it. The jar seems small, but a little goes a long way, so it'll last longer than you think. And it smells nice.

Love this over others Feb 27, 2011
By CC I used this barrier cream for my son and it not only works better than others that i have tried, including Burts Bees and California Baby, but i also love that its a clear texture and is not white and doesnt stain clothing or other things. Also, it is easy to wash off your own hands after you have applied it. I am surprised a person wrote that it leaks if left on its side as i traveled with it to the middle east for 6 months (yes, it lasted that entire time somehow!) and it never leaked and i always had it in my diaper changing pad pocket inside the stroller or in a backpack. I think its the best barrier cream around-- and smells really nice too.

Disappointed... Nov 13, 2011
By A.Creech I switched from using Boudreaux's Butt Paste to trying the EMAB Bottom Balm after hearing several friends rave about it. Unfortunately, I can't say the same. After 3 days, it has yet to do anything to make my son's diaper rash better. The texture is a bit gritty & it does smell mentholated, but if it worked, I wouldn't care. However, in our case, it doesn't work. I'm super bummed & won't be buying this in the future.

Miracle Balm! Oct 09, 2011
By NerdMom We've been cloth diapering our 1 year old since day 1 and we've only ever used Earth Mama Bottom Balm. Our daughter has never had more than a bit of redness. I believe her lack of diaper rash is 90% due to cloth and 10% due to this product. A few dabs of this stuff and her "rash" is gone by the next diaper change. I've never had a problem with it gunking up my cloth (a variety of brands, styles, and materials). It smells nice (MUCH nicer than conventional diaper cream) too. I've purchased three 2 oz tubs in one year. One is used up, one is 90% full and lives at daycare, and the other is about 75% full. In other words, it lasts a long time. Three tubs will probably get us through until potty training. I very highly recommend it as a day to day diaper balm for use with cloth diapers. If your baby has sensitive skin and is prone to bad diaper rashes, you might need something a bit more heavy duty. Don't use it as a barrier. It's not meant to keep out moisture. It's meant to treat irritation. A diaper cream that is meant to act as a barrier should not be used with cloth without a liner.
