good for infants but does get a little too hot Jun 11, 2011
By Frederick we bought the Ergo Baby Infant Carrier. Then we realized that we needed an infant insert to carry our newborn baby in the Ergo Baby so we got this. It gets a little too warm but since we keep our house pretty cool all the time, it didn't matter. Our son loves to be inside the insert and falls asleep within 30 minutes inside the insert.
We survived our first 4 weeks with this insert.

Not for large breasted mamas Jul 18, 2011
By BabyJsMama As much as I liked the option of a front carrier that did not depend on my skills as a knot making master this option fell short for me. Even before pregnancy I had large breasts so as a new mom they were even bigger. When using this insert with my >4months old baby it always felt like I was suffocating him with my breasts as his head landed right between them at any age under 4 months when we used the insert. Now that baby is 4 months he finally seems more comfortable in the insert but he passed the weight limits for it. I do like the ergo so far without the insert but they do need a better solution for infants that takes large breasted mothers into consideration.
Dad had problems too even with his flat chest. If baby was snug enough to keep good posture he had to be too tight. The other option of giving some slack then made baby keep a very strange position inside the carrier. Dad has not tried it after baby turned 4 months old yet.
Not for all body types Apr 11, 2012
By Mandy I loved the design and I still do it's the main reason I purchased the Ergo Baby. Unfortunately it's not designed for women with a large bust size. The problem isn't with the infant insert itself it's with the design of the carrier. I can't tighten the side straps enough to safely carry our baby in it. When I put it on she ends up too far away from me with too much room for her to move around in. This makes the carrier unsafe for me to wear with our two month old, because it allows her head to flop around. My husband on the other hand has been able to wear it for hours, but he complains that it makes his back hurt. I've given it three stars, because it fits my husband and our baby enjoys her time in the carrier.

don't know yet Oct 17, 2011

Got this for my ergo with the baby I'm expecting. Haven't used it yet since I'm not due until Jan 29th. The color was not what I expected (more peach then beige) but since we are expecting a girl it doesn't matter. The company I got it from has a very good return policy, and made me feel great about the purchase even though I was surprised.
