I have had to replace these twice now because of mold growing on these inserts despite my best efforts to clean with the tiny scrubbers that come with the bottles and boiling to sanitize. It's too late in the game to invest in a new brand of bottles as my twins should be done with bottle in the next couple of months, so I will just replace these as needed. We loved these bottles for the fact that our girls rarely got gas once we found the right bottle and formula. Too bad this part is really hard to clean and keep clean! If it weren't for that, these bottles & inserts would have gotten 5 stars from me.

If you have a fussy baby or just bottle feed, Dr. Brown's are the best. We have twin girls and first 3 months they were gased up and it was not fun. Someone recommended Dr. Brown's bottles, which we were willing to try anything, and they were the best thing we have ever used. If you have a fussy baby then you will know what I am talking about. If you are giving a gift for a baby shower, this is the best gift you could give. I can't say enough good things are Dr. Brown's. I was upset our doctor did not tell us about these bottles, instead she had us giving them drops and buying the most expensive formula on the market. Nothing worked until these bottles.

These Inserts have to be replaced after awhile as I realized that they can develop mold in the tiny chambers or compartments, that will not come out even with the little brushes provided with the bottle product.

It's good to be able to replace these inserts without having to buy a whole new bottle. They are BPA free, and very easy to use. All the parts of Dr Brown's bottles fit well into the Munchkin dishwasher basket. I recommend these bottles.

Great Product ! We did have to replace these once because it's very difficult to get rid of the mold and mildew.
My tip is to rinse it off as soon as you can and leave in a small bowl or cup of soapy water until it's time to wash everything. I noticed that it greatly helped prevent the mold and mildew.
