time saver! Apr 19, 2009
By Mom of Four We have twins, and before getting this product, we were hand washing bottles ALL the time. This is a huge time saver! There are little holes and places to put all of the pieces, and everything comes out sterilized. My only complaint is that the nipples and collars don't exactly fit in their places. It doesn't seem to affect how clean they get. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is strictly using bottles, or for parents of multiples.

Great Product!!! Nov 12, 2009

The sterilizer is a must have for every mom with babies. Sterilizing is a breeze, it takes 6 minutes and is very easy. Just place all bottles and parts and pour water and microwave for 6 minutes. I don't use the tongs that came with this product, since I leave the items in there until I need to use them. I also sterilize breast pump parts.
It holds upto 4 8oz wide neck bottles and parts.

I can not live withouth the product Jan 19, 2010
By Y. Fu I am using it ten times a day! it keeps the bottle clean.
Two things to remember:
1. add enough water to avoid burn
2. clean the sterilizer often

I like the Dr. Brown's Microwave Steam Sterilizer Apr 06, 2009

Have used the sterilizer for a year. It's easy to load. You put the nipples in, then you put the "straw" in a center-side hole to the right of the nipple, then you put the straw holder in on the outer-side hole in front of the nipple, you put the lid (if you use the lid) in the center, and finally you put the bottle in. Repeat this for each bottle. We have twin granddaughters and this was very adequate.

Tongs melted, but other than that... Jun 02, 2009

Overall, this sterilizer seems to work pretty well. Packing everything in is a little tricky, but not rocket science (and if the unit was any larger it probably wouldn't fit in our microwave). My one complaint was that the tongs that came with the unit actually melted a bit because I tried to sterilize them. It doesn't make much sense to pick up sterilized bottle parts with non-sterile tongs, so I figured the tongs were designed to be heat resistant, and I'd actually sterilized them a few times before and they came out fine, so I don't know why they got mangled that last time.
Also, as with any steam or heat based sterilizer, you need to be careful about what you put in the unit. We've had a few random baby items melt (a rattle from Sassy and a Soothie pacifier holder come to mind). I can't blame the sterilizer for this problem, though. I wish baby product manufacturers would clearly label whether things are safe for this sort of sterilization. Glass and silicone are always fine, but plastics are iffy -- plastic bottle parts are fine, but plastic toys are often not.
