Good non-spill cup- must have the lid on TIGHT! Oct 20, 2011
By Jennifer May Bosso We tried this cup because we loved the DB Bottles. Right after we starting using the cups we found that if the valve was not on and sealed 100% or the lid was not on really tight, it'd be like sucking air. We found this out when our 17 month old handed a full cup back and said "more water". huh? I tried it and sure enough- almost nothing. Checked the valve and then put the lid back on tighter than I had initially and noticed improvement. Tightened it as much as I could and it worked perfectly. We especially like them because the little one can take a cup of water to bed and not have it drip.

so terrible! it is like drinking air Jan 08, 2011
By T. Thiel I love Dr Brown's bottles so when it was time to move to sippy cups I naturally went to Dr Brown's. This cup is awful! I gave it to my son and he seemed to be drinking air so I tried it myself and I was only sucking in air with tiny bits of water. I tried to play around with the valve to see if I didn't have it in place right. But still, after numerous tries with the valve, all I got was air with tiny bits of water. Awful!!! Plus this cup comes in super girly colors. There are hardly any options with more boyish colors. I don't mind gender neutral purples and yellows but hot pink is on so many of the cups.

somewhat disappointed Apr 03, 2011
By J. Muchnik My kid loves Dr. Brown bottles but refused to use this cup. There's only one hole in the spout and the construction requires a lot of sucking to get any liquid out. Hopefully one of my friends' kids will like it, as it'll be a shame to throw it out.
Please read assembly instructions!!! Apr 27, 2012
By Nathaniel C. Ellis Like another reviewer said...if you assemble this cup properly it works perfectly! If the little part in the middle of the soft spout is not pushed completely through the hole in the center of the hard spout you will only get air. However if it is put together correctly it is the best cup. I recommend this cup to other parents when they are looking for a leak proof cup. I can turn it upside down and shake it and barely a drop comes out. Please try for yourself but READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!
