Best bottles - no problems at all Feb 28, 2008
By Mike Lanza
"xlanza"
Great bottles. I tried the glass Even Flows and they leaked. I tried the Born Free and they only have them in wide neck and my lactation consultant advised me against their nipples because of their shape.
Finally - I'm so glad to get these glass Dr. Brown's! No leaking. Great anti-gas, anti-reflux benefits of Dr. Brown's. (My first son was diagnosed with reflux and hated eating and then we switched to Dr. Brown's and he had no more problems and didn't need medication.)
I feel safe about warming up formula in these bottles. I don't think I'm overly paranoid about plastics - try drinking warm water that's been in a plastic cup - you can taste the difference.
I don't know what the other reviewers were talking about the ink washing off - mine have withstood washings and no fading at all.

Labeling immediately comes off Jan 18, 2008
By A. Schulze I used the plastic Dr. Brown's bottles for my son a few years ago and I think they are wonderful. I was really excited to see that they had come out with glass bottles in response to the plastic concerns. Almost immediately the labeling on the bottles started flaking off. I haven't even put them in the dishwasher, hand washing only! The labeling should really be etched like the evenflo glass. Don't buy these if you want to know how many ounces you have in the bottle. After 2 weeks worth of use these appear to be 10 years old! Disappointed!

Great alternative to plastic bottles, no leaks!! Aug 25, 2008
By Monique I like these bottles, we switched to glass bottles due to BPA concerns. Dr. Brown's bottles are great for me because they fit onto my Medela breast pump, so I can pump directly into these bottles. This is a big time saver, I do not have to wash two bottles for pumping plus another bottle for eating, I can use two Dr. Brown's bottles to pump into. The only thing I dislike is the straw valve, it is plastic and it adds to the amount of dishes to do, but it does keep excess gas out of baby's tummy, so for colicky babies this would be the best bottle out there!

Love them Dec 08, 2009
By Elow I love these bottles..this is my second baby and the second time we have used them. I did decide to use glass this time and love them. You can warm your formula or breast milk up very quickly just under running water. You will need to learn how to use this system but once you do...its no big deal. I also am a huge supporter of Dr. Browns because he lives in my town and I trust what he has accomplished with these bottles. I will say his old bottles went up to 8 oz on the big ones and 4 oz on the small ones (which these do not..7 and 3) so that makes things difficult b/c of how formula is scooped out but again minimal effort involved. Another issue is that the glass bottles leak...I figured out that after you shake your bottle and warm it under the water..just simply loosen the lid again and allow the milk to run back out of the tube and into the bottle. Takes a second, but I have learned this does prevent the milk from dripping on your babys neck..Hope that helps people:)

Good overall Jan 07, 2008
By M. Sheikh I replaced the old plastic doctor Browns with these a couple of days ago. Got scared over the whole BPH thing. Anyhow I got them home and sterilized them by boiling them for about three minutes as directed. As soon as I took the bottles out of the water I noticed that the label starting rubbing off. The label seems to wear of more and more with each wash. The ounce measuring chart is almost completly rubbed of on one of the bottles. The plastic Dr. Browns label never rubbed off. The should of just etched the label is the glass or something of that nature. Also I wish they were at least 8 oz. I hope they will put out a larger version. Overall my 5 month old son is happy with these bottles.
