I use the level 4 when I add 2 table spoons of cereals in the bottle for my 8 month old, they work great!

Started using this nipple when my daughter turned 8 months. She is 10.5 months now and still does fine with these. She is able to finish an entire 8 ounce bottle of formula now, because of the faster flow. The nipple is very soft and comfortable for babies. Love Dr Browns!

I don't know what goes into making a bottle nipple and maybe my child is just a biter but I find they seem to be bitten through awfully easily. Otherwise I like the Dr. Brown's system and have used it for both of my kids.

I was told that I could purchase Dr Brown's nipples & use them on my Medela bottles as Medela only goes to Medium flow & my 8 month old daughter is ready for a faster flow. The wide neck nipple does not fit on the Medela wide neck rings. So I ended up having to purchase a Dr Brown's bottle for these wider nipples. They work fine, just didn't want to have to spend the money on different bottles.
