Love that pegs can't get lost May 17, 2011
By Susan S. What I love about this toy is that the pegs aren't removable, so they can't get lost. The only piece your child could possibly lose would be the mallet. When you hammer a peg on one side down (for example, the yellow one), the peg on the opposite side of the bench moves up (in this case, the purple one). It's very cute and fun for my three year-old. She's delayed, so I would recommend it for a typically developing two year-old.

Best pound a peg I've seen yet Dec 03, 2011
By AmandaH I love this pound-a-peg toy! The pegs are permanently attached to the toy, making the toy last. If they were not attached, they would have been lost within a few days and the toy would not be usable. I have a 1 year old and a 2 year old so keeping track of small objects is not easy. We now only have to keep track of the pounder itself.
The pegs are pretty colors that my toddler loves to point out. She also likes the faces on the pegs. It works perfectly. As they pound one peg down, an opposite peg comes back up.
Heavy duty and well-made. Glad we got this one.

By Landa J. Malmberg This was a gift for my one year old grand-son and he loves it and plays with it often. It is very durable - all made of good quality wood.

Awesome toy! Jan 11, 2012
By Mommy of 4 My son is 20 months and absolutely loves this. I was afraid at first he wouldn't be able to hammer down the pegs since they seemed very hard at first, but as he used it more they loosened some and he has a ball hammering away at them. It took him a little bit to realize he really had to whack them, but he picked it up pretty quickly. Plus I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the fact that the pegs do not come out. Less mess for me to pick up or him to lose. I also love that it is good old fashioned wood and requires no batteries! Wonderful toy!

Pound Away Dec 29, 2011
By gypsrose I purchased several "learning toys" for my grandniece.
Her 1st Birthday was 12/25/11 so, needless to say she got
loads of toys, etc. The pounding bench was one of her favorites
and the least expensive!
Great item.
Gypsrose.
