Not bad; drawers are wimpy Oct 09, 2008
By M. Brown This Chinese-made (which I didn't realize when I ordered it) dresser is larger than you might expect & looks pretty nice. However, I think the drawers have issues. The drawer sides & back appear to be made of a very light wood (balsa wood maybe?). The drawer front attaches to the rest of the drawer via 'cam lock' type fasteners. On mine, two drawer sides split when tightening the cams; like I said, wimpy...

An alright drawer Nov 30, 2008
By Kris

The drawer is of solid wood construction except for the sides which are constructed of particle board. The hardware for the drawers consists of camlocks holding the front on. These camlocks appear to be made of a cast pot metal. I doesn't take much torque to break these camlocks. Despite the hardware issue it is descent sized drawer for the price.

The Bane of My Existence Jan 01, 2011
By Althea F. Wildhaber
"Twin Mom"
I hate this dresser. I bought it to match the Da Vinci changing table and 2 mini cribs I purchased, to get ready for my twins' arrival in November of '09. I put all four pieces of furniture together myself. The cribs are awesome. The changing table's only disappointment for me is that the bottom shelves are flimsy cardboard, but other than that I'm quite happy with it. But this dresser is a piece of, well, you know.
The drawer faces are screwed into the sides and held in place by a screw locking mechanism. Two on each side of each drawer. At least once a month those mechanisms fall out of place, causing the drawer face to come apart from the sides. Fantastic. And it's always a different drawer, or a different side. This last time it happened, I got so fed up my husband had to use wood glue to try and keep them in place. Hopefully that will work, and when the next mechanisms fall out, he'll use the wood glue again, and again, until they are all eventually permanently stuck in place.
I would never buy this piece again. Nor would I try to sell this one to some poor unsuspecting soul. I hate this dresser, and wish we could afford a different one.

do not buy! Sep 16, 2010
By ms_nell We bought this dresser in pearl white for our daughter's bedroom. We have had nothing but problems with it ever since. The bottom drawer doesn't line up properly, the hardware for putting it together is flimsy and cheap and the wood is so soft that it has broken in places. Currently one of the drawers is in our garage being glued back together. Save your money and buy something that is of better quality.

Not what I expected... Aug 26, 2010
By Kate I had to order the dresser twice... the first time it did not make it to my house 'cause UPS damaged it .. so it was automatically sent back to the warehouse. I understand that is not Amazon's fault. The second time I ordered it.. it did arrive.. early as a matter of fact (always a positive).. however the box was half open, and the corners of the dresser were damaged. As I was assembling the dresser... that cost me a nice chunk of change.. I come to realize that the back was not solid wood... and the dresser drawers were not either! I could have gone elsewhere and bought a higher quality dresser for just as much or cheaper. My husband and I were disappointed. I should have read the description better... but what irritates me the most is that I paid as much as I did ... and the corners were damaged.
