I spent months looking for a crib mattress and read hundreds of reviews for different products! My daughter was 8 months old before we purchased a crib for her, so I had lots of time to look around!
Here is what I like about this mattress:
*Very lightweight - makes sheet changes quick and easy. I just pull it up and set it on the sides of the crib to changes the sheets.
*No smell - There is no odor to this mattress, which is great since my baby's face spends a lot of time cheek-to-cheek with this!
*Dual sided - I really like this feature. The infant side is VERY firm, and the toddler side is still firm, but comfortable. My baby was used to sleeping in a Graco Pack'n'Play, but she sleeps very soundly on this mattress.
*Organic - This mattress is organic and environmentally friendly. That was very important to me in making this purchase.
*Fit - this fit my DaVinci Kalani crib perfectly.

We bought this item because we heard Colgate made the best mattress's from all of our friends. We really didn't think there could be much difference but there is. No question they are made very well, fits our bed perfect. It was also eco friendly and made in the U. S. as a bonus. Highly recommend.

We struggled with selecting a mattress for a few weeks which was stressful on top of all the other decisions we had to make. There are a wide range of price options, but this one seemed to be well reviewed so we took a chance and have not been disappointed. Things we liked:
- It is two sided which means that it can be used longer. You start with the more firm side and then when you convert to a toddler bed you flip it over to the softer side. While this was a little more expensive, we expect to get more use out of it.
- The material is quite soft and is clearly natural - no problems with smells or other things
- The mattress fit the crib perfectly
- The mattress is light and easy to lift for changing the sheets
Some reviewers have complained about a plastic smell. I noticed this too and contributed it to the mattress being wrapped in plastic for shipping. It aired out in a couple of days and now smells fine.

I do not write many reviews, but I bought this mattress as an expectant grandmother and it is extremely nice. Very lightweight and an organic cotton cover. My daughter wanted me to get this mattress as she bought one as well. It fits perfectly in crib and was priced very well. Buy this mattress, I bought two of these.

I bought this mattress because my wife's friend wanted this one, but it was shipped to my house. This is a very nice mattress for a baby. The cover is truly soft with organic cotton stamped into the cover and the foam has two distinct feels. We put it in our crib and it fits perfectly and the price was really good. Very firm on one side and less firm on the other. This is the second item I have bought from Colgate and I think both are wonderful products and would recommend them anytime.
