First of all this item: Ships from and sold by Amazon.com.

Amazon Prime 2-day shipping as always is great. Packaging was iffy as it ships in the product box and not repackaged for added protection. First one we bought was from a different Amazon vendor and was damaged in shipping because of this and returned. Its a hit or miss if it'll arrive undamaged.

The item itself is decently built and finished. Installation doesn't get much easier however you will need a drill and iirc a 7/64 bit to drill the 4 pilot holes in the toddler bed conversion rail. I installed the 2 metal brackets to the rail guard using the supplied 4 screws first. These holes are already pre-drilled. The conversion rail is set into place on the wooden dowel pins on bed and allowed to swing forward. Place this rail guard on, drill the 4 holes, install 4 screws, swing the assembly up into position and insert the bed hardware to secure the conversion rail in place. Installation took no more then 3 or 4 minutes. Say 10 if you don't use a drill or screwdriver much.

Overall it's a good product. I'd prefer to see each metal bracket a bit wider and be secured top and bottom with 4 screws instead of just 2 but it works fine. Parents shouldn't lean into or use the rail guard as a support when getting up from the floor. Additional packaging for shipping protection and it would have received 5 stars.
