 Easy to Use and Works Great to Keep Kids Out Mar 23, 2012

I was looking to child-proof my house, since my baby will be crawling any day now. I went on to Amazon because I like to see Customer Reviews for items before I buy. I needed locks for my double cabinets under my kitchen sink (where cleaning chemicals are stored) and for the bathroom vanity (that stores soaps and other things babies shouldn't play with). This lock seems perfect for my needs. The adjustable cord lock is great because the cabinets under the sink are one size and the cabinets on the vanity are another size. These locks work great because they are simple, adjustable, easy to use and keep kids out of the cabinets. Definitely recommend because they are easy for adults to open the cabinets when needed but are great at keeping kids out.

I was looking for an alternative to the child-locks that require drilling holes into your cabinets when I stumbled across this. I LOVE it and came back to order 3 more sets. It is so easy to use. I told my friends who were skeptical about finding an alternative and they couldn't believe this existed and they hadn't heard about it. One friend in particular has already child-proofed all her cabinets, but hasn't been able to find something to keep her french-door type closet doors locked. After hearing me talk about these, she asked me to order one for her to try on those doors. I also really appreciate the reasonable prices and reasonable shipping cost. The only downside is you wouldn't be able to use this on a single cabinet door. You have to have two doors next to each other with which to tie the string on.

Very simple to use and does the trick of keeping the doors closed. It does not make it impossible for the doors to move, however, so my son can still yank on the doors and catch his fingers on the top or the bottom if he wanted to. But usually a couple of tugs is enough for him to lose interest, so I still consider this product a huge win, especially for the price and simplicity of use.

FINALLY a Lock that works and is STILL easy to use!!! Mar 25, 2012

After trying the U-shaped slide lock (Which was too thick to fit behind my cabinet knobs), I tried the Safety First Grip n Go cabinet lock as well as the Safety First Flex-Lock. These other locks not only kept my one year old grand-daughter out, they were both so difficult and frustrating for me to remove that I was tempted to take up swearing! They were both horrible! Then while surfing through Amazon's baby department I stumbled upon these locks. I watched the video instructions and read the reviews from other users. I was so convinced these would work I ordered 9 pairs! I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!! These locks are amazing. They work, and are easy to put on and remove. You can't do them one handed, but I don't even care! I will say that it's VERY important to slide the little button up to 'lock' the cords after your tighten them or the cords will slip apart the first time you try to open the cabinet! The instructions are easy to follow and the video provided is even easier to understand. If I could give these locks ten stars I would!

This item would probably be great if it was not so small. It won't fit any of my cabinets. My handles are like 9 inches apart. This will accomodate handles that are max 5.5 inches apart - and they will stretch. 5 inches is probably the max for a convenient daily usage.
