Love this stuff Apr 02, 2012
By Krigs I love this product. There is a mild scent, but it's not obnoxious (it's actually nice). It is tear free--tested and confirmed, unlike some other tear free products.

My kid loves this bodywash! Everytime she uses it she says 'this makes my skin really soft' and I only use it as bodywash and not shampoo. She uses another shampoo for her hair and I don't think this one is meant for her hairtype. But might work well for an infant!
The best! Aug 10, 2011
By ... My husband and I have used California Baby products with my son since birth. We've even replaced our own body wash with this one! They work wonderfully and wash off nicely. We're very happy with our choice.

Evil Concoction Mar 16, 2012

For some reason, this product is sold under multiple headings on Amazon. If you note carefully, you will find that there are a number of one star reviews for this product when you see elsewhere on Amazon. The situation we faced using this product was a bit scary - so I'm copying my review here.
============================ This product caused major grief for us. I would give it minus hundred stars if I could. I will also be filing a complaint with the FDA. I also request lawyers with class action expertise to look into issues behind this product. I also request Amazon to discontinue or at least suspend selling this item while the issues are investigated, especially since there appear to be multiple complaints regarding allergies caused by using this evil concoction.
Some brief details -
Our newborn suffered major redness in the diaper area around 2 - 3 weeks(which we thought was related to diaper rash - except - that Desitin did not help). After a week, we took her to the pediatrician who correctly advised that it was not diaper rash but could not tell us what was causing it. We then switched to expensive allergy sensitive diapers and started applying Theraplex emollient - which helped a bit.
After a another week or two, our newborns face had red spots a few hours after taking a bath. The following week, it was even worse. (These episodes occurred a few hrs after her bath so we originally failed to note a connection). The second time around, her whole face was red and we were debating whether to take her to the emergency. I stayed up all night observing her. Thankfully, it did start going back to normal after a few hours and that is when I snapped some pics that I will be posting soon. The face became normal in 2 days, but the diaper area continued to be red.
Since our baby's redness was happening a few hrs after her bath, I wondered if something in the bath was responsible. I got a bottle of Aveeno "Cream Wash" and used it on her next bath. Her face did not turn crimson and all redness from diaper area disappeared in two days. I then got a pack of the most in-expensive diapers I could find (Parents Choice). Absolutely no redness in diaper area - so the issue was not related to diapers after all. The product may have been developed by a "mother", but it is a clueless and dangerous formulation. Stay away from it!
