Safest for babies (and everyone), and smells divine Mar 19, 2008

The Environmental Working Group tested thousands of sunscreens for safety (check out their amazing cosmetic database, "Skin Deep"), and found this to be one of the safest on the market. That's why I tried it. Like many mineral sunscreens, it does leave a whitish hue(from the zinc oxide) on your skin that is most apparent after you've been in the water. Admittedly not very pretty if you're on the beach to look good...but for kids, this is the best. (And great for adults who don't want to spread carcinagenic ingredients all over themselves, either.)
It has a fresh herbal scent from an essential oil blend that I think helps keep away black flies and mosquitoes.
If you want unscented or want something cheaper, also consider Blue Lizard Australian sunscreen for Super Sensitive skin. It's a very similar product.

The best for kids when they're playing in the water! Sep 28, 2009
By L. DeFries Talk about sun protection! I had my three year old and my 1.5 year old twins at the swimming pool this summer, applied this 30 minutes before exposure, had them out there for three hours in 80+ degree heat, swimming, and NO SUNBURNS. You don't need to apply it so liberally the skin stays white, just put enough on to cover -- a little bit goes a VERY long way. (If your skin stays white and you can't rub it in, you've applied way too much.) You'll see some white on the skin again when they get wet, but it goes away. Any that is left on my hands after applying to the kids I put on my own face. Very water resistant and has super protection. Wonderful stuff, it's safe, smells good, and I never have any trouble washing it off. Again... a little bit goes a long way. It's the best out there!

I CAN'T GET THIS SUNSCREEN OFF MY FACE! Mar 03, 2008
By M. Trapp Please note that this suncreen is VERY WATER RESISTANT (HIGHEST RATING). One is instructed to apply it LIBERALLY!
I took a twenty minute long hot shower during which I washed my hair and used a mild to moderately strong facial cleanser. Thereafter, the sunscreen was still on my face. My face was still white!
If you need to use a HARSH cleanser to get this cream off your face, it is not appropriate for baby's or sensitive adults. It is, however, very appropriate if you go swimming or diving.
