The Best sunblock for kids Apr 24, 2007
By Busy Book Loving Mom This is a fabulous sunblock for kids. It spreads easily on the skin, and is not "tacky" feeling to the touch, like some other sunblocks we've tried. Yes, it turns the skin whitish - but that is part of how it is able to be an effective sunblock without the nasty chemicals present in other sunblocks. Children have thinner skin than adults so it is even more important to use natural products on them, as they absorb more of whatever you are putting on them - for my child, I would rather have her look whit-ish than be absorbing chemicals through her skin. Our whole family uses this product and have found it very effective in providing protection from the sun.

disappointed Apr 28, 2011
By Sylwia Hunsinger My daughter is quite fair skinned and burns easily. I used it last summer and it was ok as long as she was in her stroller hiding under her canopy. This spring we visited the south and had a simple umbrella stroller and she burned after just a short period outside. (ca. 1hr)She wore a sun hat with brim as well. I also put a lot on her. Will not purchase again

Great for babies and kids Apr 16, 2007
By J. A. Swanson I use this on my baby and I am so glad to have a product that acts as a barrier to the sun instead of putting potentially "bad" chemicals on my daughter's skin. It is pretty thick and does not smooth on as easily as some sunscreens do, so that is why I'm giving it four instead of five starts, but I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a sunscreen that does not have chemicals that absorb into the skin. I don't think that it "bleaches" the skin as the other reviewer suggested. It makes your skin look whiter because it doesn't rub in well, but it is a temporary thing and washes off.

Disappointed... Dec 10, 2010
By crazyleila Just bought this product (fragrance free) and after the first application my son developed a rash only in the areas where the sunscreen had been applied... I guess we won't be using it again and we'll be going back to the Neutrogena Pure & Free Baby we had been using.
As far as ease of application, I didn't find it as hard to apply as some of the other reviewers commented. In fact, I thought for a sunscreen it was a fairly thin lotion and easy to apply; he also didn't appear white or pink or lavender or any other such color. Other than the fact that he got a rash I have no complaints about the product.

Amazing Product! May 28, 2007
By Jessica I started using this product about 3 years ago when my daughter was first born. Hands down this is the most effective and safest sunscreen on the market for children and babies. The white residue on the skin is part of the minerals that they use to deflect harmful UV rays and is OK by me. My daughter thinks it is fairy dust and she loves putting it on. I personally like the thick texture because it makes me notice areas that I may have missed. If you have any doubt in your mind about this sunscreen please check out the extensive database at [..]on personal care products.
