Soft and absorbent May 07, 2007
By Geeky Grandma I purchased 3 packages of these bibs. Amazon had the best price of anywhere I checked. They washed and dried nicely with no visible shrinkage except for just a very minimal amount in the cotton binding that runs around the outside perimeter of one of the bibs. The binding on the other two bibs has more of a satiny finish to it.
They could be just a little bit thicker, but they're nice and soft and not too big, but seem to be big enough to handle most meals and lots of drolling for an infant say up to one year (I'm guessing). They would be too small for, say, a two-year old toddler. They have a velcro closure and could be reversed if you want to cut the tag off the other side.
My pet peeve with many of the bibs on the market is that they have cute embroidered sayings and/or characters on the front of them which while cutesy, take up most of the surface of the bib and don't provide any absorbency - which seems to me to be the whole purpose of using a bib in the first place.
So for everyday use, these work great.
Update on 3/25/08: The bibs are holding their own as far as functionality even with an 11 month old baby; however, the binding around the edge has come off one of the bibs at the neck area and created a hole. I was able to mend it with the sewing machine, and the bib is still functional but looks tacky.

Ok but not great Jan 07, 2008
By F. Kenny These bibs are absorbent but after half a dozen washes the bibs are already falling apart. There are loose threads all over. The velcro is VERY strong so I suspect the fabric is getting shredding in the velcro teeth. I've found the velcro can also scratch the back of the baby's neck if you don't cover it completely. They're ok bibs but not great...

Not What It Used to after August 2010 May 13, 2011
By Eva H. My son has been using these since he was a newborn. He's now two years old and, unfortunately, still need to wear a bib to keep his shirts dry. These are the most absorbent bibs I have seen in the market and he can soak these through three of these in day. After a year of use, the first batch I bought were stained and I wanted to buy new ones to replace them. But the new ones I bought after August 2010 are nothing like the old ones. They are less absorbent, the velcro stick to my other clothing and itself during laundry (despite I religiously close the velcro before putting them into the laundry) and they fall off my son's neck. Totally useless piece of junk if you ask me. All I can do now is to go back using the original ones I bought two years ago that are yellow. It's not pretty but at least it does the job.

Disappointed - Even with careful laundering, they fell apart and look awful. Sep 29, 2011
By Angelina N Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3EYJD6L0TFO75 I was given a Bumkins terry cotton bib as a hand-me-down and I loved it's look and how absorbant it was. I wanted more so I ordered three 3-packs of the Cotton Organic Bibs. The size of the neck opening was fine for us (our baby is in the 50th percentile for weight, so not too small or big). I liked the absorbancy too. However, I am very disappointed overall. The satin binding started fraying off after a month or two. In addition, these frayed fibers have started to fall off and adhere to the velcro making the bib not stay closed. They not only are not staying on now, they look awful. These bibs have been cared for the same as the hand-me-down bib. The old hand-me-down is still in GREAT condition. As for how I wash them, I close the velcro and wash them in a lingerie bag. So, I have taken care to keep them nice but they have fallen apart. : Today, I have rounded them up and am putting then in my bin of cleaning rags. Very disappointed and makes me leary to buy other Bumkin bibs.
UPDATE
I contacted the company regarding this and they replaced the bibs with another lot: [...] If you zoom in on it, you can clearly see the terry cloth is much thicker and the binding is of better quality too. The new bibs are AMAZING! They are so soft, absorbant, and sturdy. I would recommend getting the new ones on Bumkins website versus the ones shown here. You will love them!

Not impressed Jun 13, 2011
By Vicki I registered for these for my baby shower and received them. I liked the fact that they were made organically because babies like to chew on anything they can get ahold of, bibs included. Once I received them though, I was disappointed at how thin they were. I had hoped that an organic product, obviously lacking a plastic lining for the back, would have been nice and thick. These, not so much. They are very thin. I know there are better organic bibs on the market and I stupidly thought 3 organic bibs for $11 was a good deal. And it was...too good to be true!
