Functional, Cooling, and Cool-looking May 16, 2010

We wanted more comprehensive coverage from the sun. The standard sun canopy didn't help especially when the sun was low. This breezy sun canopy is pretty cool-looking and allows breezes to flow in through the mesh panels. PROS: - The large front mesh blocks direct sunlight. - Full, expandable coverage from upright to full-recline. - Breezy and light. - The silver color provides protection from sunlight and looks contemporary. CONS: - The large front mesh just dangles from the front edge of the canopy with no option to secure it away when not in use, such as indoors. - Strong breezes can push the front mesh up and away, so it should have a way to secure it to the seat or be a little heavier to withstand strong breezes. - This canopy completely replaces the standard colored sun canopy. Bugaboos are known for their stand-out color, so a colored breezy canopy option would have been nice (like the Bugaboo Cameleon's). Then Bugaboo could have designed this so it simply attaches to the existing sun canopy (again, like the Cameleon's).

Keeps the sun off Jun 01, 2011
By amandagav This product does what it's supposed to - it keeps the sun off my daughter even when the stroller is fully reclined. And the mesh sides do allow for a bit of a breeze and keep the little one cooler. And it's nice that the product perfectly fits the Bee rather than trying to use a 'universal' canopy that never look great.
However, I don't love this product and I don't really think it's worth the price. For me, the cons are: - The front mesh part still seems to let in sunlight, my daughter still squints and looks uncomfortable when sun comes directly through it. - The front mesh just hangs from the canopy and you can't secure it back. I use my Bee with my daughter facing me and the mesh makes it hard to see her. So on cloudy days or just on a shady street I would like to secure the mesh back so I can interact better with her. - It's not easy to put the canopy on and take it off. First, you have to take off the regular sun canopy and completely replace it with the breezy canopy. Second, the breezy canopy does not come with the plastic inserts that give shape to the canopy, so you have to remove the plastic inserts from the regular canopy and transfer them to the breezy canopy. Because this is time consuming, I will likely only change the canopy once per season. It would be nice to be able to change it more easily so that on a cool day I could use the normal canopy and on a hot sunny day switch to the breezy canopy.
I gave the breezy sun canopy 3 stars because it does do what it's supposed to, which is keep the sun off and provide more ventilation. And I am using it, not returning it. If I could go back though, I think I might have tried another cheaper solution rather than spend $70 on this product.

Like European cars if you purchase a bugaboo stroller expect that you have to purchase each accessory separately. But honestly all their products is worth each penny I spent so far. I have the bugaboo bee 2010 and to protect my son from the sun I purchased the sun canopy and I love it. He still gets some breeze through the light material and he is completely protected from the sun! It doesn't get any better.. if you want to save some pennies you can just use a blanket over the stroller but have always readjust it if there is a strong breeze!
