Great portable basinet May 11, 2011
By andreea I received this portable basinet as a baby shower gift and it was one of the best presents. I had a C-section and had a hard time getting in and out of bed in the first weeks, so I used the basinet to have the baby sleeping in it and placed it in the middle of the bed for easy access. Also, because of the light weight, I was able to carry the basinet anywhere in the house where I would need it. The basinet is also great for traveling as it folds very easily and it takes very little space.

It has come in handy Sep 21, 2011

I do love this travel Bassinet. It has come in handy many times over the past 7 months. The one thing I do see as a problem for larger babies is that it isn't very big. Luckily our little one is small, but even at 24" long I can see where it is getting a little cramp for her. If you have a larger baby this might not be for you. My preemie has done wonderfully in it and it has traveled great. The fact that I can lay this on a bed and not worry about baby is wonderful for cramp hotel rooms or friends houses where I haven't wanted to take a pack-n-play with me. (There are quite a few of us, 5 in total) SO if you have a smaller baby, newborn, this is wonderful. If your baby is growing fast, you might not use this for very long. It has worked for our family!

great Jun 20, 2011
By patricia I am so happy with this purchase. It's light weight, foldable, and really roomy for my 2 month old. The big plus is the mesh sides, I couldn't see any other portable bassinet with this feature, I don't have to worry about air circulating around the baby to make sure he isn't too hot and breathing. The only minus is that the mattress is thin and not soft, but saying that my baby slept really well in it just like he would in his soft mattress in his crib at home. I put it on top of the bed for his naps and then put it on the floor next to sofa bed for night sleep.

versitile, light, easy Aug 15, 2011
By Mama Block We purchased this for our 5 month old daughter before we went on vacation because we didn't have space to pack our pack-n-play. We like it so much that we wound up using it instead of our cosleeper, because our daughter sleeps better when she shares our bed, but we want a separate space for her for safety reasons. It's a tight squeeze for baby, my husband and myself in our queen sized bed, but she honestly takes up as much room when she kicks during the night, and this way she is much safer.
Our daughter is very long (90th percentile-- 25 1/2 inches at 4 months), and she seems like she'll be able to use this until she's about 6 months old. If you're looking for a long term in bed cosleeper this a great option. It's also wonderful if you're looking or a place for baby to sleep off of the bed, but want to pack lighter than a pack-n-play.
This wouldn't work as a cosleeper if you don't have at least a queen sized bed, or if you and your spouse are larger than average. Overall, I think it's a great product and don't hesitate to give it 5 stars. :-)

Limitations not disclosed May 15, 2012
By Cascadilla Press As another reviewer pointed out, and as Brica confirmed, the sides of this bassinet are not breathable where it's not a see-through mesh. That means the bassinet is not safe to use once your infant is mobile at all, because if they can squirm up against a non-mesh area of the side and put their face against it, they could suffocate.
Brica also says (in personal correspondence) that there are important limitations: don't use the bassinet once your infant reaches 3 months old or 15 pounds. This wasn't disclosed anywhere on the product packaging or instructions. Since the package clearly shows an infant over 3 months old being put into the bassinet, you could easily be misled into using it for an older infant. This really is for an immobile newborn.
For an immobile newborn, this travel bassinet is easy to use, lightweight, and very portable. But to keep babies safe, the age and weight limitations should be clearly explained, and the side fabric should be a breathable fabric.
