We LOVE this shirt. Our son wore it from 2-6 months, with a onesie underneath. As he grew, we couldn't bear to stop putting him in it:) It's difficult to find hip shirts for baby boys. This fits the bill. It's an American Apparel lap shoulder tee, which means that it's super easy to get off and on. We love the color and sure, it is lightweight. But, he wore a long sleeved onesie underneath. He got compliments on it frequently.

I thought I would purchase a cool retro tee for my son but this item was very disappointing. The fabric was very thin and the ends are not sewn, just cut and serged. It looks quite cheap actually.
