Love the design, hate the durability. Nov 22, 2011

My baby is exclusively cloth diapered and these work as a wonderful overnight diaper. However they do not stand up to washing. About the time the diaper starts to fall apart (literally tears, holes, etc.), it gets too small. All the other diapers I have are far more durable. I have a front loading washer and use little soap - and yet these have not held up.
They're great for short term use, but definitely not one you can resell, give away, or pass down.

"my fancy diaper" as its called in our house... Jun 08, 2011

I think I was most excited about trying this diaper out before my baby was born. We got a couple of about 10 different diapers, all in one's, pocket, prefolds w/ covers etc. But this one seemed so cozy and 'fancy' with the velour lined snap in insert and the hemp second layer... I also loved the overall look and feel of the diaper. I was hoping for it to be a great overnight diaper.
Well once my baby was big enough for the size we bought, boy was I disappoint! It seemed like the very second he peed in it he would fuss and squirm and wanted to be changed immediately and almost every time his pants would be wet from the pee wicking out the sides due to no gussets and the inner lining seam showing a bit and being able to make contact with his clothes. The inside always feels soaking wet even if i've just put it on and he's had one tiny pee in it... so NOT a good overnight diaper.
I'm sorry to give the bad review but there wasn't one when I looked so I just wanted other moms to know my experience. And, unfortunately, I would not recommend this diaper to any of my mommie friends.
Sad to see negative reviews! Apr 25, 2012
By G. Johnson I love my Bottombumpers! They are trim fitting, very absorbent and a great value. Plus, they are made in the USA! I can see how they could wick if they were not put on correctly. You have to make sure they are rolled in around the legs so the inner material does not come in contact with baby's clothing. And, since they are made from more delicate fibers (cotton and bamboo) instead of microfiber and fleece, you do have to take care of them differently. Don't dry them in the dryer and they will last much longer.
trim, soft, well fitting diaper Apr 07, 2012

This diaper dries fast b/c of the snap out doublers. It is similar in absorbancy to every other single AIO diaper I own (Bumgenius elemental, grovia) It fits well and does not leave red marks on my baby. I like the snaps how they adjust inside the diaper under the doubler it is a very clever design. I like the high rise and the side snaps. This diaper is perfect for someone wanting a diaper that is trim like a disposable under a onesie, I love my fitted diapers and wool covers but they are too bulky under clothes. This diaper is not a diaper for overnight, you would need to add a doubler and possibly a wool cover or stay dry fleece liner. It is not designed to be a stay dry diaper, ALL natural fiber diapers feel wet this diaper is no exception. However it will not "stink" like polyester does. If you want your baby to have a stay dry diaper then you have to lay a piece of fleece inside. for daytime this is not necessary. the interior velour is extremely soft and will not feel scratchy if air dried like cotton will (I tumble dry cottons to soften them) for convenience this is a great diaper on the go or if you want a trim diaper under clothes. The grovia has stretchier sides however this diaper is a bit roomier. Overall I would recommend this :)
