Item can quickly and in good shape. Although the box was opened slightly and some of the hardware had spilt out onto our front porch, we were able to find all the pieces. However, this could have been a disaster and something a little more tape on the packaging could have prevented. Also, Amazon gave me super saver (free shipping) even though the item did not "ring up" that way. It was advertised as such, and the honored that, so kudos to them.
As for the dresser its self... I was impressed with the quality of the wood and construction. This is not a pressed wood piece of furniture. I especially like how easily the drawers glide when opening/closing them. I purchased this for my 4 year old and was worried that it would be too small (it's categorized as baby furniture). However, it fits all her little (4T) clothes perfectly, with one drawer to spare! I think it's important to point out that we live in Hawaii and all her clothes are shorts/tanks/t-shirts and such (dresses hang in the closet). If we lived in a colder climate it may not work as well for bulky jeans/sweaters, etc. Overall, this item is beautiful and sturdy and suits our purpose well. I didn't want an oversized dresser taking up precious space in her small room. She'd rather have room for toys than clothes!

My dresser arrived in 2 business days as expected. When the delivery came the box was a little beat up but I was not surprised as it is large and heavy. Before my husband and I started assembling I looked at all the pieces to make sure everything was there. All but 1 screw was missing and it appeared to be because the packaging had a small hole in it. I figured I would just go to a hardware store to find a similar screw instead of going through the hassle of trying to exhange. I checked all the wood pieces for scratches, nicks, dents etc. I did find that there were a couple of small scratches/nicks on the corner of a couple of dresser parts. Still I wanted to avoid the hassle of exchanging so I let it be. They were fairly small and inconspicuous. If there were a lot of them I would have returned but 2 small ones didn't bother me that much. Plus it would have been a pain of repacking all the pieces, arranging a pick up etc. So I started working on assembling the drawers while my husband worked on setting up the base. We put it together in about and hour and a half. I thought it would have taken much longer when I separated all the parts. Overall, it's a quality dresser. The wood feels solid, not flimsy, it feels structurally sound and luckily it's a very close match to the crib and other dresser I have. It looks like I bought it all as a set which is great. I was especially happy about the price I paid because it was about $75 cheaper on Amazon than at any other retailer I looked at online. I just wasn't too happy that the day after I received my dresser I see that Amazon has lowered the price again about $15....not a lot of money but hey...every buck counts.
