Beautiful Modern Crib Aug 12, 2008
By R. Jurkovich I received the crib about 1 week after purchase (Free Super Saver Shipping). The box was pretty mangled but the crib was in perfect condition. I am 37 wks along and put the crib together myself in about an 1hr (using a screw gun instead of a screw driver), much to the dismay of my DH. The drawer is pretty flimsy I plan to put items in there that won't be used very often. Also, it's probably wise not to over tighten the screws to the drawer because I think it would definitely split the wood, the directions mention that as well.
As long as you organize the parts before starting the assembly you'll be fine in getting the crib together without issue. It would be nice if the crib had casters but since it doesn't I used furniture glides so I can move it easily across the carpet. I worried about the sides not being movable but I talked to a friend who has a crib with movable sides and she said she never uses it so that got me over that hump. I purchased a crib skirt since you can see into the drawer from above/below the mattress. Also, since the top rail is wider/thicker than most "conventional" cribs I found that I couldn't attach a mobile to it, and I haven't figured out a solution to that issue yet.
Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase and would definitely recommend this crib if you are looking for a modern design.
_______
April 2011: Baby #2 is now residing in this crib and it still looks and functions just as great as it did for Baby #1. The drawer is still functioning (even w/having moved 2x since the original assembly). Baby #1 & #2 have both left teething marks on the top rail. I used a dark furniture stain marker/pen to try and "erase" the teething marks which worked pretty well. I have since attached "sticky" teething guards. Baby #3 is set to arrive this Sept. and will be moving into the crib, so I feel that we have definitely gotten our money's worth from this beautiful modern crib. Oh, and the solution I found for the mobile...the Fisher Price Rainforest Waterfall Soother attaches securely to the top rail and the kids can (when they are big enough) turn it on themselves. I still highly recommend this crib. :)

Soon to be parents Jul 23, 2008

Love this crib so far. We liked the modern look. It arrived in good shape, even though the box it came in was pretty beaten up.It took about 1 1/2 weeks to arrive from order time. My husband spent 40 minutes all together to put it together. Pretty sturdy piece. Like the drawer underneath. Found the drawer bottom to be a flimsy piece of board. Won't hold anything that would have some weight to it. Hasn't past the real test yet of holding the baby. We'll find that out in about 5 more weeks. Overall pleased with the purchase.

The best crib ever! Feb 06, 2009

I absolutely love this crib. It is so sleak and stylish. It isn't too high off the ground so it looks very modern and is easy to set your baby down into it. The drawer is very handy when storing crib sheets and blankets. The drawer allows easy access to stored away items. The wood is very nice and assembly was very easy as well. The only thing I recommend is that you have a bed skirt, or else you will see straight into the drawer, but I do not find that a downside at all. I would recommend this crib to anyone, and I would definitely buy it again!

Love it - just something to be aware of... Aug 23, 2009
By LFU I'm 7 months pregnant and haven't actually used it yet but we put it together and it's really cool looking. The only thing you need to know is that it runs slightly smaller than most cribs. I was intent on using an organic mattress but tried 2 different ones that were 52" long and found that they were too big and didn't fit. So, I had to go with a Simmons Mattress that is about 51" long. It fits perfectly but it was a struggle trying to find a mattress that fit. Simmons apparently works the best. As long as you're prepared for that, you should be happy with the crib!

Had been perfect for 3+ years... Mar 08, 2012

"Cheers!"
This crib had been great for well over three years. My oldest son slept in it for 2+ years and my youngest has slept in it ever since. However, we recently converted it to a toddler bed (great option!) and encountered our first problems. I have ZERO complaints about it as a crib. #1 When we installed the toddler rail it created a large gap between the drawer and the bottom of the rail that just frankly looked bad. It was nearly 2" and was unsightly. It could easily fit lower but the holes were drilled in a way that would not allow me to put it any lower. We have the recommended cardboard between the mattress and metal grate that holds the mattress up and it stuck out and looked awful. We put a blanket there to cover it up but that rendered the drawer useless. Oh well. #2, the screws included for the toddler rail were too long for installation. When screwed tight the rail moved quite a bit as did the sides of the crib/bed. I further tightened it down to stabilize the bed and the screw split the back of the crib because it was too long. Now I have a toddler bed with a non-functioning drawer, a loose rail, and a split side. However, this crib was perfect and we had no issues with it as a crib. I am contacting the manufacturer.
