3you get what you pay for...  May 15, 2009
By Molly Cline
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I love this stroller. I got it when my son was about 3 weeks old and he is 8 weeks now. We have been using it a couple times a week since we received it. It has a really smooth ride and the front wheel pivots which makes turning really easy. It folds up really easily and the front wheel comes off so it is easier to load into a car trunk. The seat doesn't recline flat, but it comes pretty close. Because my son is a newborn, I use a car seat/stroller padded insert; he always seems happy and comfortable. The parent cup holders are too small for my camelbak water bottle, but a standard soda or water bottle fits. I also really like the closing storage compartment in the handle. It is a great place for cell phones, keys, etc.

Overall this is a great stroller. I would buy it again and highly recommend it.

EDIT December 11, 2011:
2 years later, I have dropped my rating from 5 stars to 3.
We used this stroller a lot, about 5x a week, for strolls around our neighborhood. After having the stroller for a few months I attempted to jog with it and this was the beginning of my realization of its poor construction. The front wheel locks in position for jogging, but even at my extremely slow pace there is play in the wheel that causes the stroller to shake violently. The few times I attempted to run/jog with it I always ended up popping up the front wheel and jogging with it in wheelie-mode; not the most comfortable way to run.

Besides the Jogging issues, we had lots of problems with the tires. One of the back tires got a huge bulge in it that would not go away (my husband is a bicycle guy and tried several tricks to no avail), and eventually a leak. The front tire deflated and needed to be pumped up, but the diameter of the wheel was too small to fit a pump nozzle in (we tried 3 including the one that came with the stroller, which also broke before it ever aired up a tire). Since we mostly used it on pavement at a slow walk it still rode ok, but it would not have worked for running or rough terrain.

We definitely got our money out of this stroller, but we also got what we paid for. When I bought this I wondered why people would pay so much for a BOB or other fancy jogging stroller when this one worked fine, but now I can understand. If you want a cheap stroller for walks/strolls on pavement or small gravel (NOT running or jogging or off-roading) then this stroller will do the job. If you want to run, hike, or keep your stroller for multiple kids, look for a higher quality model/brand.

5Love It!  Jun 28, 2009
By e_mac
We live in a third story apartment, so there was no way I was going to haul it up all those stairs every time I used it. So we bought this jogger so we could fit it in the trunk of our Toyota Camry (it just took a little practice). It is really easy to collapse and unfold. I highly recommend getting the infant seat to go with it if you are getting it for a baby. The baby trend one locks in, but we had our Graco car seat before we bought this jogger and it still rests in it great it just doesn't lock in. We use it mostly for walks outside, but it's not much bigger then a stroller and has worked pretty good inside so far as well. We love it and have no complaints. In fact every time we use it we discover something else we like about it.

5Great jogger for this price range  Nov 17, 2010
By mommie
pros -
remote swivel wheel lock and release (high end strollers don't have this)
solid parent console with lid and 2 cup holders (again, surprisingly, you wont even see this in most high end strollers)
seat positioning - able to recline fully and sit up fully
speakers
cup holder for child (when our boy got older he loved to collect rocks and put them in there)
able to accommodate car seat
seat pad is nice and full
maneuvers turns easily with a smooth ride
fairly decent sun shade
5 point harness and padded straps for child
numerous pockets for storage
height of handlebar (husband is 6'5" and it works well for him and for me.. I'm 5'6")

cons -
does not pack down easily - need to remember to recline the seat and unlock the wheel and it is rather bulky
sunshade/rain guard has cracked - the clear plastic has somehow cracked over the course of 2 years
rubber handle is falling apart - not a big deal but pieces of rubber come off a lot now (after about 8 months this began to happen)
when front swivel wheel is locked stroller does not push completely straight - maybe this is an unrealistic expectation but it tends to do the 'grocery cart' thing where it swerves a tad bit either to the right or left, pumping up the tires more on one side than the other helps this problem though
Pedometer that it came with did not work for us (not a big deal)

honestly the more I know about strollers now the more I like this one. I changed my review from 4 stars to 5 recently because I have just recently seen what is out there in the world of strollers as we have 2 kids now and needed a double jogger. honestly for this price range this stroller is great. all strollers with a swivel/lock front wheel tend to go to either the right or the left when in fixed position unless you are going to spend $500+ It would be nice if the sun shade could come down further... we would have to put a hat on our boy when we knew the sun was directly in front of us. However, we fully appreciated the nice parent console and I utilized the remote swivel/lock control every time. We didn't realize how much we loved these two perks until we didn't have them (see below)

after 2 disappointing double Joggers I remembered how we really had no problems with our single (this one) and I went ahead and ordered the baby trend double expedition (despite more positive reviews from the schwinns I was looking at) when our little one was a few months old. we love it. My husband said "why didn't we get this one in the first place?"

5Great for my infant and 4 year old.  Oct 26, 2009
By Mom of 3 "mom of 3 living overseas"
I bought this stroller in hopes it would be able to navagate the very uneven sidewalks and streets of Ankara Turkey. It was everything I hoped for. I excecially love the fact you can lock and unlock the front wheel from the top handle while you are walking/running. I would highly reccomend this stroller to anyone. Well worth the money.

5Great Jogging Stroller!  Aug 14, 2010
By Kauai Mom-of-One
I didn't buy this stroller from Amazon (I wish I would have because I paid almost as much in shipping costs as I did for the stroller itself!) but wanted to write a review for it here anyway. I'm not a "runner" or "jogger" for that matter, but decided to buy a jogging stroller because I enjoy walking and my Combi Flex stroller wobbled terribly over even the slightest uneven surfaces and the sun shade did not cover my baby from sun very well. The Baby Trend Expedition Jogging Stroller glides over any surface and the large adjustable sun shade is very effective in protecting my baby from the sun at any hour of the day. (The large snack tray also provides extra sun-coverage.) I was really surprised, and pleased, that it fit in my trunk (Acura TL) without removing the front wheel. The front wheel swivel feature comes in really handy too. I have had this stroller for almost a year and I haven't had any problems that I can recall. There are only two (very small) complaints that I have: 1. The seat, and seat back are pretty hard...barely any cushion at all (I bought the stroller when my son was only 6 months old which was a problem then, but not now that he is 18 months.) Extra blankets and a car seat cushion insert from Wal-Mart resolved the issue until my son no longer needed the extra padding. 2. The seatbelt straps are pretty cheap and uncomfortable looking (again, no padding) but work great, so again, no big deal. Overall a great stroller and I would recommend it.
