Must have stroller but can't find a cup holder that fits it! Sep 07, 2010
By Kimberly V. I was thrilled when Baby Jogger released this stroller and didn't hesitate to order it. As a Mom with a 3 year old and a 6 month old baby this stroller has made it possible for me to get out of the house easily with two kids. This stroller folds up small enough to fit in my Mini Clubman and although heavier then a single stroller I still consider it to be pretty lightweight as far as strollers go. It also it not tippy like other strollers (I'm looking at you Maclaren Techno XT no matter how heavy a diaper bag I put on the handle. It doesn't even matter what configuration I put the seats in. This stroller just does not tip over which is amazing and I think a strong selling point. The thing that really sold me on this purchase was the versatility of being able to use it both as a double stroller and as a single. If I am out and about with just one kid I just put in one seat when I pull it out of the trunk. I don't have to wheel around a double stroller with just one kid in it. I also like the flexibility of being able to change the seats around although I must confess that this feature was not as important to me as the ability to use the stroller as both a single and a double. The seating options allow me to configure the seats depending on what my needs are at the time. For example if my youngest is about to take a nap I put his seat at the bottom facing me with his brother higher so he can sleep without distraction. If we are going to the park I put my oldest child's seat at the front facing out so he can jump in and out of the stroller when he wants to without disrupting his younger brother.
As must as I love this stroller it does have a few frustrating limitations. When I configure both seats facing inward so the kids can see each other and interact my oldest ends up having very little leg room. Sure he can put his feet in the stroller basket but he still looks a bit cramped. I think that Baby Jogger did this to minimize the footprint of the stroller. Since the Select is shorter then other tandem strollers it is much easier to push and maneuver. My other frustration is the lack of a cup holder to fit this particular model. I initially purchased the Baby Jogger Universal Liquid Holster which strangely does not come close to fitting on this stroller. Even the Baby Jogger Universal parent consoles are not a good match with this stroller. Although the parent consoles fit on the stroller they hang so low that my kids kick them if I have the seat configured to face me. I am really hoping that Baby Jogger with design a cup holder specifically to fit this stroller since pushing a stroller while drinking a hot coffee is not something I am all that good at.

Best convertible stroller Feb 15, 2011
By MNMomma I just recieved my Baby Jogger City Select in Diamond for my 2 1/2 year old and newborn. I was hesitant to buy this color I thought it would get dirty easy especially living in MN where we are snowy many months of the year. But I have to admit it's the nicest color of them all and I plan to make a stroller liner (the Mclaren stroller liner works as well) for my 2 year old's seat to keep it clean, and truly dont plan to use it during the winter anyway. If your in the market for a convertible stroller this is the answer. The other two strollers I was debating on was the Phil and Ted or the Joovy Caboose. The Phil and Ted was pretty amazing except I didn't like the postioning of the second seat so close to the ground and frankly it's just a smaller seat in general, but I thought it felt lighter to push than the City Select. The Joovy was a great option excpet I use my stroller almost every day during the summer and fall and I could see my 2 year old wanting an actual seat not just a platform with a not so comfortable seat. The Joovy also felt a little heavy to push and wasn't quite as smooth, and isn't really a convertible the platform is always there. With that said I gave this stroller five stars because it does everything I wanted it to do but I still have some issues I didn't consider. It's a solid frame so it's a little heavy but I can manage. While having both seats facing you is a great option it makes the stroller seem much bigger and it's hard to gage how far out you are when turning (like driving a van if your used to driving a car), I also haven't figured out how to lie my top seat flat (almost flat really) without it seeming a little awkward for the bottom seat. But overall it's SOOO easy to move around the seats, and it's super solid and evident the stroller was made very well and worth the money in my opinion, I think about it as buying a single and a double seperatly so really the pricing is reasonable.

Great customer service Jun 27, 2011
By T+2 I purchased from Australia for delivery to a hotel in Vegas. I had easy contact with the provider and I love the product. It does exactly what it is advertised and is simple to use and configure in different poses.
