good for the price Jun 28, 2011

The crib is very pretty and solid wood-no formaldehyde, no particle board. However-it is laminated wood so you do see seams. It is also lighter than what I thought so a little harder to match other pieces of furniture. Once set up-there is no odor at all! I think that is fantastic that our little one won't have a room that smells like chemicals. However, I was under the impression that this crib was made in the US, it is not-it says right on the box, made in Indonesia. That being said, it is less than $400 and has no gross chemical smell that requires us to air out the room for a year and so my mission was accomplished and now I can spend extra money buying an organic crib mattress that otherwise would have gone toward one of the more expensive eco-friendly cribs made in the US. Assembly was also very easy (according to my husband) and he put it together quickly and made several comments on how solid the construction is. The one big complaint I have is the manufacturer put a warning sticker right on the wood! These are impossible to remove without leaving a ton of adhesive on the nice railing and alcohol didn't remove it very well!
As an aside-I read a review about one of the other Atlantic Furniture items and they said the box was very beat up-when our crib came-our box was also really beat up-but it was packed very well and there is not a scratch on the furniture itself. Unfortunately, UPS beats stuff up and I don't think it has anything to do with the quality of the furniture.

Excellent!! Jan 11, 2011
By Verukanacl I did a lot of research as I was buying my first crib. It was very important to me that I find a crib that was "safe" in terms of toxicity and chemicals used to manufacture the crib. I searched hundreds of brands and a variety of prices and found that this crib offered one of the best prices for what it offered. I also like that it includes the toddler conversion kit - a lot of other crib manufacturers expect you to buy it separately. I was also happy to know that the crib is made from sustainable wood. I felt great about this purchase knowing it was sage for my baby and environmentally friendly. I also like that is made in the USA.
not as expected Apr 18, 2012
By Mindy Good, heavy, feels like good wooden furniture. However, online pics appear as no screws are visible in finished product; but, there are - 4, in front in each corner. Screw holes show that screws should be flush with "wood" but only 1 of 4 ended up doing that. The other 3 could not , would not go that deep. Apparently holes not made deep enough, & head of screws ended up 3/8" above "wood" level. Also be careful to over tighten L wrenches strip rather easily.
