Amazing crib Sep 26, 2011
By Pinki I purchased this crib online because I really loved the way it looked and I was planning on a very modern nursery for my first child. The crib arrived and was even more beautiful than in the pictures, assembling the crib was very easy (comparing to other products we purchased before that were very complicated and hard to assemble). Another great thing about this crib is that it has an option of a bottom drawer that is divided into 2 and it is perfect for storage of things you do not need right away. Great crib for the modern lovers out there!

Giving up hope and found that paying more does not mean better product and customer service. May 14, 2012
By Happlin The crib is having issues of a bowed headboard and a screw ripped out of the fake wood on the railing. Have been working with Argington for 1.5 years to replace a defective part on the matching dresser. Was advised part was ordered and will be shipped in a few months. A few months later, the part was not shipped and the person who promised the part left the company. The process started over and they eventually found the email communication for the promised part. However, it has now been over a year and this is the response I get when asking if upper management can resolve the issue "I don't want to promise anything to you, alright. I have forwarded you no. to him but I cannot assure you that he will really contact you. I will see what I can do regarding the discount but I won't promise that he will be giving it. I understand that the entire experience on the replacement has been frustrating if only I can make all the decisions by myself I would have taken care of it already, however, all decisions should come from him. I will let you know if I will be able to get something from him regarding this matter.Thank you, Glovannie" Glovannie does not have to power to help and upper management will not respond to her to help her resolve the situation. I am sure when they were a small mom and pop shop this product was great, but they have lost all quality and customer service in their company. Very sad..

Argington has NO customer service and POOR quality products! Jan 19, 2012
By TK 1. Very strong chemical smell - not GREEN at all. 2. Several areas do not have adequate paint coats. 3. Wood panels have serious cracks/splits - defective due to manufacturing. 4. NO manufacture date.
We bought this Argington Sahara Crib - ebony from Amazon. Amazon has shipped this Crib to us twice, and both of 2 shipments have defective parts inside. Take the second shipment as example, one rail panel has serious cracks/splits on the top - defective due to manufacturing, which would cut/hurt our baby's hands and even ours. It is very dangerous! Also one end panel has a dent due to the inappropriate packaging of the screws in the box. Since we liked this crib and didn't want to return it to Amazon again, we were trying to contact Argington to ask for replacement parts. However, Argington even doesn't bother to have someone to answer the phone (directly transfer to answer machine and ask you to contact them via email every time). I left the voice message but NO ONE ever called me back. I also sent the email with photos of defective crib parts but again NEVER got any responses from Argington. Eventually, we decided to return this cribe to Amazon again and asked for the full refund! We are so glad that we bought this crib from Amazon, not from Argington! POOR QUALITY PRODUCT & NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Nice looking crib but not without flaws Oct 11, 2011
By Dee First, the package arrived pretty beat up and the tape was half unravelled. However, the flaws in the contents were not packaging related. The crib was easy to install despite the instructions being slightly wrong. The instructions listed only two different sizes of screws when in fact there were three (not easy two detect). Once we noticed this error (in the first step) the rest of the installation was easy. The product itself has many minor flaws. These included minor knicks that were painted over, paint drips on the side boards, and several areas along the pertruding lip that did not have adequate paint coats (ebony) showing a very light wood color. For the price I would expect the paint job to be flawless. If I had the energy and wasn't due in a few weeks I probably would return it. Also, you will notice a strong chemical smell so you will need a day or so to let it air out. A word of caution we noticed some of the flaws while putting it up but once it was up and we saw it in natural light additional flaws were noticed.
have received but not yet assembled... May 17, 2012
By bunbaker I received this product one week after placing the order- much quicker than I anticipated for a piece of furniture. My husband has not yet assembled the crib but we did open the package due to the box arriving with one corner being a bit torn. Fortunately there wasn't any damage that we can tell (without complete assembly). Giving the assembly goes as well as some other reviews claim, my only complaint at this point would be that the color isn't a true black. I was under the impression the furniture was black by the color being ebony. No where do I see where it says ebony stain but the wood grain is evident, and wouldn't be if it had paint on it versus stain, unless of course they didn't spray enough coats of a thinned/watered down paint. Some spots are pretty black, but the majority of it looks to be a very dark brown... I am still waiting on the arrival of the matching pieces and will know then if this is the true color or if I got a crib with a bad paint/stain job.
