Finally! Aug 22, 2011
By jmass I found the Bam crib set early in my pregnancy and knew I wanted it after much research. Then around April I found this Bam Bam second generation set which seemed to be almost identical to the first one except that it comes on locking casters instead of just wooden legs which works better for me -- and it's significantly cheaper than the original PLUS it comes with the toddler rail which was an add'l expense with the original Bam. I waited it out...through the release date being moved 3 times..numerous emails from Amazon about pushing it back and then not finding it..then when finally released they sold out so quickly the company I bought it from couldn't determine right away if they sold out before or after they fulfilled the current orders (incl mine). Finally when I was just about to give up because my due date is less than a month away, I got the email that it was shipped and it arrived the very next day! We set up the bassinet and I love it already. The wheels roll so smoothly. These were important to me because our entire house is hardwood but may not work for every household. Also the wood feels strong and sturdy. A bassinet was important to us and so many of the ones I was finding feel so cheap and wobbly, the fact that this was basically just a smaller version of a crib and not some extra piece of furniture to purchase was a big selling point. And to get the toddler rails included in this lower price instead of having to purchase separately was an added bonus. We just love it and it was totally worth the wait.

Unique feature, excellent quality Sep 09, 2011
By Nyxdia After extensive research, I decided on this crib for my baby, who's about to be born. The main feature that attracted my attention was the fact that the bassinet converts into a full crib AND a toddler bed. Except from the *very* expensive Stokke furniture, I haven't found any other crib in the market that has this feature. Also, the system features casters that make mobility a breeze - they're very good quality and not the cheap type that will scratch your floor. I plan to use the bassinet in my bedroom during the first days/weeks and eventually moving it to the baby's room. Another important aspect of the Argington brand is that their products follow a strict standard of using organic, non toxic materials. The crib did not smell awkward, seems very sturdy, and was very easy to assemble. And I must also mention delivery was flawless, I got it as a gift from a friend and the purchase was made at Amazon from Greencupboards - no delays, product arrived fast and in perfect shape. The only con to this product is the thickness of the bassinet pad that comes with it. It's a bit too thin and the measurements of the crib may give you a hard time finding a replacement. Other than that, excellent product.

Haven't ordered but saw in person Sep 02, 2011
By akadawn So I saw this bassinet/crib in person at a local independent baby retailer where I live in Ann Arbor. I wanted to research some reviews online and it's sad that the average rating on Amazon is brought down for the product when in reality it's an issue with Amazon. The one review by the customer who actually got the crib really enjoyed it so I'm hopeful and will probably buy at my local shop Elephant Ears, which also has a website if you guys don't want to wait. elephantearsonline.com They don't offer grey though. I love the idea that the bassinet will transform into a crib instead of having two pieces (I'm trying to limit the amount of stuff a kid really needs within reason) and I loved the look and feel of it. Hubby was leery of the look of the wheels online, worried he'd trip all over them, but in reality they aren't that obtrusive.
Working Well for Us Mar 30, 2012
By CVSilva We purchased the Arington Bam Bam to fit in our small NYC apartment. So far it is just what we need. We've only used the bassinet configuration as our little girl is only 2.5 months. The bassinet fits through our 28" wide door openings. The wheels are great for rolling around the apartment, they work smoothly and lock well. We roll her bassinet around every day. We had to tighten the bassinet once, but I was really trying to put the thing through the ringer. The cushion fit snugly in the frame. Husband zealously washed the cushion cover in really hot water which caused it to shrink. Now the mattress does not fit so snugly with the cover on. Be warned, there is considerable shrinkage when washing the cover. It looks great and is easy to clean, no places for creepy crawlies to hide, not much surface area for dust to accumulate.
Best bang for your buck! Feb 03, 2012
By gretdor This is the perfect crib set for anyone who lives in a condo or smaller living space. I love the fact it will grow with our twins until they are 4-5 yrs old! Price point is excellent and love the fact that I only need to buy a crib mattress and bedding. Worth the money. The crib is VERY well made and is sharp looking! I love the fact that the bassinet has wheels in case you need to move it temporarily. Great buy and very happy with Argington products overall!
