 Nicest baby blanket I've ever seen! Aug 26, 2009

With three kids under three, we have many baby blankets, but this one is BY FAR the nicest one we have! I bought two of them for our twins and now wish that I had bought more. I found them over a year ago at Toys R Us on clearance and paid $10 a piece for them, but would pay the $25 charged here on Amazon as well. They are worth it! The blankets are larger than most, with a ruffle that I thought would be annoying at first, but is not as it is terrific for laying over babies' ears when it is chilly (not too covered, just the right amount). As for their durability, I have two of them and have washed them both at least 2 dozen times in the last 15 months, and they look and feel as wonderful as they did at first. And regarding their material content, I wrote the company and asked them and this was their reply: "The surface of the velour material (brushed part) is 100% organic cotton, however, due to the nature of cotton, we cannot have 100% cotton on the back, it has to be 80% organic cotton and 20% polyester on the back (to hold the cotton fiber in place). The good thing is that the part that's facing out is 100% organic cotton". My only complaint about this blanket is that they don't make it in a size that would fit my bed...

I think this blanket has a great weight to it. It's soft, doesn't leave lint and hasn't shown any signs of wear. This blanket is an excellent and non-toxic alternative to the popular polyester ones.

I received a bunch of different blankets as gifts and this is by far my favorite. It is super soft and very pretty (I get lots of compliments on it) and best of all it is very warm and 100% cotton. All of the other warm blankets I have are polyester, and I feel much better using cotton. It is a great size, either for use at home or to cover baby in the car seat or stroller. I like having the two fabric types on the two sides to choose from as well.

blanket given as gift. the color shown would have matched crib bedding. color more of a goldish carmel color. would not have purchased if i had seen blanket first.

I love this blanket for my boy. My mother had it embroidered and it looks so nice. I have had it for 2 months and it washes nicely.
