NOT ECO/BABY FRIENDLY Sep 13, 2007
By Green Shopper This low-cost "organic" bedding is NOT the great deal that it seems to be. It is made with polyester as well as RESIN TREATED POLYESTER, which is not an "organic" or eco-friendly material, at all. Don't know why anyone would even bother to put organic cotton in a product like this.
I knew the price seemed too low for organic. Unfortunately, 100% organic items are just not this affordable. Don't be fooled. I'm no scientist, but it's probably better to get conventional cotton as long as it's 100% cotton, rather than this polyester blend, which may have been treated with formaldehyde or some other industrial chemical. I wouldn't buy anything from this company, and this bedding is going back to Amazon.

I feel like I wasted my money Mar 03, 2009

"shoe fly"
I don't know how the company can legally advertise this product as 100% organic cotton. That is not the case. Unfortunately, you won't know that until you open up the package and look at the actual tags to find that it only CONTAINS organic cotton. The rest of it is resin-treated polyester (yeah, that sounds "organic"). Yet the product description and the packaging both indicate that this set is all-natural 100% organic cotton.
As other reviewers have commented on, this set IS quite soft and comfortable, like velvet. But it is rather plain--and not just because it contains no bleaches or dyes. For the (poor) quality of bumper and blanket you get, I'm more than a little disappointed. I ended up replacing the blanket with a down comforter.
Bottom line: this set is overpriced for what you get and I wouldn't recommend it at all. If you don't care about organic, you can get a much nicer--and more colorful--set for less money. And if you want genuine organic, you're not getting what you're paying for anyway.
Great Deal for an Organic Crib Set. Feb 05, 2011
By Deb310 Great Deal for an Organic Crib Set - Although the color seems a bit off with hints more of orange than mocha but the overall color is still brown.
Even nicer in person Sep 16, 2008
By Big Al I wanted a nice neutral soft plush velvety crib set. The velvet sets are very expensive and area often not machine washable. I registered for and received this set yesterday. The price was right and the laundering is easy. It is so soft and plush and has a really nice look. It's a tad lighter in person than my computer showed but I really really like the color, more of a tan than a mocha but I'm even more pleased about this shade. Feels a lot like a teddy bear or something and I just love it.
Flashback! Aug 22, 2008
By M. M. Hodges Does anyone remember the Harvest Gold color of the 70's? Well, that's what color this bedding is. A more up-to-date description would be Camel. It just was nowhere near what I expected, especially once it was washed. It is too light to be Mocha. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, the fabric had considerable pilling once washed. The Organic factor was a consideration, but one has to know that this set is far too inexpensive to be truly organic. I did send it back, free of charge, and was credited the total cost in a very timely fashion.
