Love this pump! Mar 20, 2006
By S. Wright This is a great inexpensive manual pump! The lactation counselor at the hospital where my son was born actually gives this pump to moms after one month of successful breastfeeding. It is easy to use, very comfortable, and easy to take apart for cleaning and re-assemble. This pump is perfect for a mom that wants to pump daily to have extra milk stored for someone else to give baby a feeding, or to use to make cereal when baby is older. I would not recommend this pump if you plan to use it more than once a day, just because it would get old using it, washing it, and putting it back together every time. But if once or twice daily use is what you have in mind, this is the pump for you!

Great occasional pump Jun 07, 2007
By Anna's Mom This is the pump they gave me at the hospital when my daughter was born.
Pros:
It is super easy to put together and clean afterwards.
The suction is easy to manipulate with the one handed pump mechanism.
I have used it 2-3 times a week for 3+ months without any problems. The original valve continues to work great.
You can actually clip on and use bags verses the bottle that comes with it. (although it does take some practice taking them off when full)
Cons: A little long to pump one side while feeding from the other. It can be done, just takes a bit of adjusting.
Would definitely recommend it for the primarily breast feeding mom that pumps occasionally.

Easy to use and clean. Great pump for traveling and short term use. I wouldn't recommend for long term since it does take some time. Also good for hand workouts ;p. The Ameda purely yours electric pump is great for long term use.

Great Pump! Oct 10, 2007
By A. Young Perfect for mamas that are mainly nursing and want to use this as a back up. Easy to clean and you can use most other brands of bottles. Love the one handed design for this pump. I've been really happy with this purchase.

I typically use a Medela Pump in Style and this is in no way comparable. I did travel with it on a three day trip and it worked out well and I didn't have to bring the PIS with me, but I think any longer than that and I would have started to have supply issues. I guess I would just rather bring the PIS with me for traveling because breastpumps qualify as personal medical equipment and don't count towards your carry ons when flying. It did save me some space on my trip though, and did the job for those 3 days.
